00:00:07 [Speaker 1]
Well, well, well, here I am.
00:00:09 [Speaker 1]
It is Wednesday, 07/09/2025.
00:00:14 [Speaker 1]
I am back from that brief little break.
00:00:17 [Speaker 1]
I did not expect to take yesterday off, but, Monday afternoon, I started to feel like a slight little itch in my throat.
00:00:26 [Speaker 1]
My nose was starting to go.
00:00:28 [Speaker 1]
And by the time it reached to, like, six or 07:00 at night, it was bad.
00:00:33 [Speaker 1]
It was bad.
00:00:34 [Speaker 1]
And then I just tried going to sleep.
00:00:36 [Speaker 1]
My nose is runny.
00:00:37 [Speaker 1]
The the grossest thing I I don't necessarily wanna go into too much detail about this, but the grossest thing is when you have a runny nose and you put your CPAP on and then your nose is running inside the CPAP.
00:00:49 [Speaker 1]
You gotta take it off, blow your nose, put it back on, take it off, blow your nose, put it back on, repeat the cycle over and over and over again till you can finally fall asleep.
00:00:56 [Speaker 1]
I ended up like staying up most of the night, went to WinCo at like 3AM, got myself some, you know, typical sick items like vitamin water full of vitamin c, orange juice, aloe vera juice, some, multi symptom cold medicine, nighttime cold medicine.
00:01:16 [Speaker 1]
Took that, fell asleep, woke up on my alarm at 07:15 and said, yeah.
00:01:20 [Speaker 1]
I'm not coming in today and just emailed Jay.
00:01:23 [Speaker 1]
I was like, hey.
00:01:24 [Speaker 1]
Sorry.
00:01:25 [Speaker 1]
I need to take the day off.
00:01:26 [Speaker 1]
I spent I spent most of the day just sleeping.
00:01:28 [Speaker 1]
I didn't leave my place once.
00:01:29 [Speaker 1]
I slept all day yesterday.
00:01:32 [Speaker 1]
It was bad.
00:01:32 [Speaker 1]
It was bad.
00:01:33 [Speaker 1]
But now I'm here feeling a whole lot better.
00:01:35 [Speaker 1]
My voice is not necessarily the best, but, I am here nonetheless.
00:01:40 [Speaker 1]
And if you wanna get a hold of me, you can over at (208) 535-1015.
00:01:44 [Speaker 1]
I was extremely jealous of those.
00:01:47 [Speaker 1]
They got to go to the summer of loud show at, the USANA or I shouldn't say the USANA Amphitheater, the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheater.
00:01:55 [Speaker 1]
I was supposed to go there, supposed to interview Winston of Parkway Drive, but, overall, I was just like, yeah.
00:02:02 [Speaker 1]
I'm too tired from this trip.
00:02:03 [Speaker 1]
And then I got sick.
00:02:04 [Speaker 1]
I'm like, I I really don't wanna get Winston from Parkway Drive sick either.
00:02:07 [Speaker 1]
So it's best I just don't show up and I didn't have the money at all really to fund a trip down there.
00:02:13 [Speaker 1]
So hopefully everyone who was in Salt Lake City last night at the show had a great time and, we'll talk about my, kayaking adventure where I almost died here in just a few on Peach's Pip Party.
00:02:25 [Speaker 1]
There were, previous, episodes of Peach's Pip Party where I talked about the whole planning of the trip where my friends would come out here.
00:02:34 [Speaker 1]
Finally happened.
00:02:35 [Speaker 1]
Had a great time with Matt and Christian.
00:02:37 [Speaker 1]
We lost one of our other friends.
00:02:39 [Speaker 1]
I stopped being friends with them.
00:02:40 [Speaker 1]
He had a weird, like, I don't know.
00:02:43 [Speaker 1]
He just canceled and said he was too poor to go on the trip, but then he's doing all these other trips instead.
00:02:49 [Speaker 1]
So I was like, you know what?
00:02:50 [Speaker 1]
I'm done with this guy.
00:02:51 [Speaker 1]
I'm really not wanting to hang out with him anymore, but beside that's besides the point.
00:02:55 [Speaker 1]
The whole point of this, break here was to talk about the kayaking adventure that I had.
00:03:00 [Speaker 1]
So I also talked about that in previous shows that my friend, Matt, was adamant about driving all the way out to Twin Falls.
00:03:07 [Speaker 1]
We ended up driving out to Buhl, Idaho.
00:03:09 [Speaker 1]
We were about thirty, forty minutes west of Twin Falls.
00:03:13 [Speaker 1]
We stayed at, the one thousand Springs Resort there.
00:03:17 [Speaker 1]
And, yeah, Matt over the course of I don't know how many months we were planning this trip was just adamant about us going kayaking, enjoying it, enjoying the time on the water.
00:03:27 [Speaker 1]
And I like to kayak.
00:03:29 [Speaker 1]
I think it's cool, but after what happened to me, I I don't think I'll ever kayak again.
00:03:36 [Speaker 1]
I I'm sorry.
00:03:37 [Speaker 1]
I just don't really want to.
00:03:39 [Speaker 1]
Just after what happened.
00:03:40 [Speaker 1]
So basically, we go to the rental spot.
00:03:43 [Speaker 1]
I'm putting myself in putting sunscreen all over me.
00:03:46 [Speaker 1]
I didn't bring a hat so I was worried about my bald head, you know, getting sunburned.
00:03:51 [Speaker 1]
Go into the go into the kayak, get into the water.
00:03:55 [Speaker 1]
Everything's going fine.
00:03:56 [Speaker 1]
We kayak all the way to where that blue water was that Matt was adamant about seeing.
00:04:02 [Speaker 1]
And, there was tons of people in that little little section there.
00:04:06 [Speaker 1]
We park our boats to the side, get out, sort of sit down on the hot rocks.
00:04:10 [Speaker 1]
They Matt jumps into the water.
00:04:12 [Speaker 1]
Christian jumped into the water.
00:04:14 [Speaker 1]
I didn't feel like going into the water really.
00:04:15 [Speaker 1]
I just didn't care for it.
00:04:18 [Speaker 1]
So then after a little while, I decided to get back into my boat and it felt weird.
00:04:24 [Speaker 1]
I should have known something was wrong where it felt heavier than usual.
00:04:29 [Speaker 1]
I don't know what happened.
00:04:30 [Speaker 1]
It was just sitting there, sitting there right there on the side.
00:04:32 [Speaker 1]
I get into the boat.
00:04:34 [Speaker 1]
I then go to row back out to Snake River to make my way back to the rental spot.
00:04:39 [Speaker 1]
There's a video that Matt got of me just by myself in the middle of the water where I'm sort of trying to balance and I'm like wait a second I'm not that lame.
00:04:48 [Speaker 1]
Why does this feel harder than what it did before?
00:04:51 [Speaker 1]
And then before you know it, before I knew it, the boat tipped and I all of a sudden was just in the water.
00:04:58 [Speaker 1]
My mouth was open for some reason so I took a big, chuck I took a big gulp of the water so I'm choking.
00:05:03 [Speaker 1]
My boat is upside down.
00:05:04 [Speaker 1]
My kayak's upside down.
00:05:06 [Speaker 1]
My bag with my keys, my car keys, sunscreen.
00:05:11 [Speaker 1]
Luckily my phone and wallet were in the car back where the rental spot was so I didn't have to worry about that but I was more so worried about the keys themselves the keys itself and sure enough I'm trying to get on top of the kayak trying to get back into it just can't.
00:05:25 [Speaker 1]
I'm struggling.
00:05:26 [Speaker 1]
I'm screaming help.
00:05:28 [Speaker 1]
And I look and Matt and Christian what from what from what it looked like according to my point of view, Matt didn't really care.
00:05:35 [Speaker 1]
He was just kind of like, you know, going through his stuff that I I wouldn't know what to do either because it's like, what if they just swam out there?
00:05:41 [Speaker 1]
How are they gonna get me out of the water?
00:05:42 [Speaker 1]
But luckily enough, there was four or five boats that pulled in that were tied together.
00:05:49 [Speaker 1]
I just swam to the nearest boat and there's a guy who jumped in the water helped push me towards the boat because I was just like first the water was so cold I felt like I was in shock.
00:06:00 [Speaker 1]
So I got to the guy's boat sat in the back and yeah.
00:06:03 [Speaker 1]
And we spent the next, like, ten minutes or so tinkering with my kayak, realized there was a crack somewhere.
00:06:08 [Speaker 1]
It kept filling up with water.
00:06:10 [Speaker 1]
So luckily enough, I got, boated or I boated with this guy, Todd.
00:06:15 [Speaker 1]
Shout out to Todd, by the way.
00:06:17 [Speaker 1]
Me and him just went back to the rental spot, dropped off the kayak, and Matt and Christian ended up kayaking the rest of the way back in their own boats.
00:06:24 [Speaker 1]
But, yeah, if I sorry.
00:06:27 [Speaker 1]
My voice my voice is going crazy today.
00:06:30 [Speaker 1]
If I ended up if I end up tipping over in the Snake River, I there was a good chance I would not be here right now because it was it was that crazy.
00:06:38 [Speaker 1]
I mean, the blue water part was the easy part.
00:06:42 [Speaker 1]
If it tipped over in the Snake River and I got caught in the seaweed, there was no shot of me getting out of there.
00:06:47 [Speaker 1]
I would have had to swim to land.
00:06:48 [Speaker 1]
It would have been so weird for sure.
00:06:50 [Speaker 1]
For sure.
00:06:51 [Speaker 1]
It was a weird, weird event that happened.
00:06:53 [Speaker 1]
Luckily, I'm okay now, but I'll have to share that video at some point, for Peaches Needs a Pal on our social media pages at k Bear one zero one FM.
00:07:02 [Speaker 1]
Let's move on to some set it off here wolf in sheep's clothing on Cabear 101.
00:07:06 [Speaker 1]
Peaches Pit Party right here on Cabear 101.
00:07:09 [Speaker 1]
I was chatting with my friend Matt about TSA pre check because that's what he has.
00:07:13 [Speaker 1]
I believe he paid like $70 to have it for the next five years.
00:07:17 [Speaker 1]
Something like that to where you don't need to take off your shoes, don't need to take off your belt.
00:07:20 [Speaker 1]
You can just go right on to through the security at the at the airport.
00:07:24 [Speaker 1]
And I feel like it'd be better off for me just to have that.
00:07:28 [Speaker 1]
It just seems very easy to I don't know.
00:07:30 [Speaker 1]
I mean, even though traveling through the Idaho Falls Regional Airport is easy enough.
00:07:35 [Speaker 1]
I mean, there's really no security and who really cares?
00:07:37 [Speaker 1]
I mean, they they do check my every once in a while, I'll get my sister a snow globe.
00:07:41 [Speaker 1]
And the most annoying part about TSA is they'll, like, take out my CPAP.
00:07:44 [Speaker 1]
They'll take out my highly organized backpack.
00:07:48 [Speaker 1]
They'll, like, go through my highly organized backpack and take out all this stuff just to, examine a snow globe because they're afraid, like, something's inside that snow globe, which that's not the case.
00:07:57 [Speaker 1]
It's just a little tiny gift from my sister.
00:07:58 [Speaker 1]
But I was looking here.
00:08:00 [Speaker 1]
Homeland security secretary, Christy Noem, I believe that's how you say her last name, announced that effective Tuesday, travelers in US airports no longer required to remove their shoes during security screenings.
00:08:11 [Speaker 1]
This reverse, this reverses a rule created after the shoe bomber incident in 02/2006.
00:08:17 [Speaker 1]
Christie said our security technology has changed dramatically.
00:08:19 [Speaker 1]
It's evolved.
00:08:20 [Speaker 1]
TSA has changed, adding that airports now have a multilayered whole of government approach to screening.
00:08:26 [Speaker 1]
Passengers may still have to remove footwear of extra screening as needed, though TSA PreCheck users could already skip this step.
00:08:33 [Speaker 1]
The update extends the benefit to all travelers nationwide.
00:08:36 [Speaker 1]
Christie also said TSA is reviewing other protocols such as belt removal and liquid limits to streamline airport security further.
00:08:44 [Speaker 1]
That's that's one of the dumbest things too.
00:08:45 [Speaker 1]
Like, I can't bring on more than three ounces of water.
00:08:48 [Speaker 1]
Otherwise, you know, they yell at you.
00:08:50 [Speaker 1]
Dumb.
00:08:50 [Speaker 1]
But anyway, look, there's a step there's a some good news for today.
00:08:53 [Speaker 1]
Right?
00:08:54 [Speaker 1]
So tomorrow, Victor is going to be at Stan's Paint Clinic in Idaho Falls right there on Northgate Mile.
00:09:00 [Speaker 1]
He'll be there from noon to two.
00:09:01 [Speaker 1]
Stan's Paint Clinic celebrating fifty years of being in business, and, they're throwing a giant birthday party to celebrate.
00:09:08 [Speaker 1]
And they're they're gonna have a bouncy house.
00:09:10 [Speaker 1]
They're gonna have free lunch.
00:09:10 [Speaker 1]
They're also gonna have popcorn, cotton candy.
00:09:13 [Speaker 1]
They'll have vendor reps on-site to show off the newest products.
00:09:17 [Speaker 1]
Did I mention free lunch as well?
00:09:18 [Speaker 1]
Yeah.
00:09:18 [Speaker 1]
Make sure to go to this, Stan's Paint right there at Northgate Mile in Idaho Falls.
00:09:23 [Speaker 1]
Victor will be there from noon to two with some, hopefully, some some Cannonball merch, some K Bear stickers, as well Stan's Paint Clinic in Idaho Falls celebrating fifty years.
00:09:34 [Speaker 1]
Joe Burrow's dream of owning a working replica of the Batmobile featured in the Christopher Nolan Batman series is over.
00:09:41 [Speaker 1]
Burrow had talked about buying the $3,000,000 vehicle during last season's hard knocks series on HBO.
00:09:46 [Speaker 1]
But in Netflix's new season of quarterback, Burrow reveals he canceled the order after his Cincinnati home was broken into last December while the Bengals were on the road playing the, Dallas cowboys.
00:09:57 [Speaker 1]
Burrow said, I didn't end up buying the Batmobile because it just had other things I wanted to deal with at that point.
00:10:02 [Speaker 1]
While many NBA insiders have wondered if the twenty twenty five, twenty twenty six season will be the last for LeBron James, another NBA icon is certain it will be his.
00:10:13 [Speaker 1]
That is Chris Paul, who is currently a free agent, after playing with the San Antonio Spurs last season, says that he wants to play one more year at the most.
00:10:23 [Speaker 1]
The 40 year old Paul adds that he misses time with his family and says, my granny who watches every single game that I play every single night, I just don't get to see her and hug her along with all my uncles and aunts as much as I'd love to.
00:10:35 [Speaker 1]
Allegiance Stadium in Las Vegas has been selected to host the twenty twenty eight NCAA men's final four.
00:10:41 [Speaker 1]
It hasn't taken long for the city to become a sports powerhouse with the NFL and NHL already playing there and a Major League Baseball team on the way.
00:10:49 [Speaker 1]
Vegas hosting March Madness games means another event that involves big money with sports bettors will be held in a city with nearly 200 sportsbooks.
00:10:57 [Speaker 1]
Why not do another one?
00:10:58 [Speaker 1]
Right?
00:10:59 [Speaker 1]
I've been gone for a week.
00:11:00 [Speaker 1]
Why not do another sports little update here?
00:11:02 [Speaker 1]
There have been two winners of the Pop Tarts Bowl in college football, Iowa State and Kansas State.
00:11:08 [Speaker 1]
In a fun twist of fate, Iowa State and Kansas State will be playing a game in Dublin, Ireland on on August 23.
00:11:14 [Speaker 1]
And to add to the drama and intrigue, two Pop Tarts mascots will join them.
00:11:18 [Speaker 1]
Frosted Wild Berry and Frosted Hot Fudge Sundae will be attending the game.
00:11:22 [Speaker 1]
There you go.
00:11:23 [Speaker 1]
That is for your Shot Clock sports update right here on K Bear one zero one.
00:11:27 [Speaker 1]
It was awesome for the most part having my friends out here.
00:11:30 [Speaker 1]
I say for the most part because, well, as I'm sure you're well aware, if you've listened to the show, if you haven't paid attention, well, there's the Peaches Pit Party podcast they can listen to.
00:11:40 [Speaker 1]
You can find the previous episodes of me talking about, my friend, Matt, making this huge ordeal about needing to plan a whole bunch of different things, needed to plan this trip to Twin Falls, you know, that whole thing.
00:11:51 [Speaker 1]
But the worst part of the entire trip was that my buddy, Matt, would open up all the doors and windows to my place to allow air into it.
00:12:02 [Speaker 1]
And the summer when the summertime comes around, there's flies everywhere.
00:12:07 [Speaker 1]
All of a sudden, there's, like, 12 flies in my place.
00:12:09 [Speaker 1]
I'm like, why are there why are there so many flies in here?
00:12:12 [Speaker 1]
Because Matt had opened up the, patio doors, my front door.
00:12:14 [Speaker 1]
I'm like, Matt, just open up all the windows.
00:12:16 [Speaker 1]
The windows are just fine.
00:12:17 [Speaker 1]
They won't allow bugs in here.
00:12:20 [Speaker 1]
But the worst part also besides that was that there was one morning I woke up and I I come out of my bedroom, and I see, like, every single cabinet was open.
00:12:30 [Speaker 1]
And it was because Matt had to use the restroom during the middle of the night.
00:12:35 [Speaker 1]
He had to go, you know, number two.
00:12:37 [Speaker 1]
I don't wanna go into too much detail about that.
00:12:39 [Speaker 1]
I wanna get a JPA, Jade Pucker alert.
00:12:41 [Speaker 1]
But, apparently, Matt couldn't find the toilet paper, so he went through every cabinet possible and left them all open.
00:12:48 [Speaker 1]
All open.
00:12:50 [Speaker 1]
I truly don't understand how you can just leave a cabinet open like that.
00:12:55 [Speaker 1]
And I talked to him about it.
00:12:56 [Speaker 1]
I'm like, dude, just shut the cabinet after you're done.
00:12:59 [Speaker 1]
There's no need to like my my bath my bathroom cabinets were wide open.
00:13:04 [Speaker 1]
My, the sliding door below the sink was wide open.
00:13:07 [Speaker 1]
I go to the kitchen, every single drawer, every single cabinet in there was open.
00:13:12 [Speaker 1]
Like, what is this guy doing?
00:13:14 [Speaker 1]
This is why I prefer to live alone.
00:13:16 [Speaker 1]
You know, my my rent has gotten so high that I'm like, maybe I should get a roommate.
00:13:21 [Speaker 1]
But then I got reminded with these two, friends being here, maybe I should just stick to biting the bullet, stick to paying a little extra for my rent, and, live by myself.
00:13:31 [Speaker 1]
Last week, we gave away tickets to go see Volbeat, Hailstorm, the Ghost Inside live at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheater, Saturday, July 19.
00:13:41 [Speaker 1]
Once I get those tickets, I will send them over to the winners.
00:13:44 [Speaker 1]
But, currently, we are giving away tickets to another concert happening at that same venue, Wednesday, August 20, and that is Pantera in Amana Marth.
00:13:53 [Speaker 1]
They're calling it the heaviest tour of the summer.
00:13:56 [Speaker 1]
All you have to do is listen out for that cemetery gate sounder when you hear it.
00:14:00 [Speaker 1]
Be caller 20 at (208) 535-1015, and you'll win your pair of tickets right then and there.
00:14:05 [Speaker 1]

00:14:16 [Speaker 1]
You'll enter that drawing that way as well.
00:14:18 [Speaker 1]

00:14:23 [Speaker 1]
Win tickets with us.
00:14:24 [Speaker 1]
You can also find that show on our concert calendar, always available at riverbedmediagroup.com/calendar.
00:14:29 [Speaker 1]
Yeah.
00:14:30 [Speaker 1]
This could be something to talk about.
00:14:31 [Speaker 1]
Not really feeling a 100% today, so I might limit my talking even though I did, like, a pretty long break not that long ago about the whole, kayaking incident that happened.
00:14:40 [Speaker 1]
You missed out on that break?
00:14:41 [Speaker 1]
Well, you can, you'll be able to you'll be able to, relisten to it once I get this, episode of Peach's Pip Party available on the podcast wherever you get your podcasts.
00:14:51 [Speaker 1]
This question here, what unwritten rule do you follow?
00:14:55 [Speaker 1]
I'm looking at the different replies.
00:14:57 [Speaker 1]
Waiting until, the person that dropped off gets into the house safely before driving away.
00:15:01 [Speaker 1]
I always do my best to do that, making sure they're not locked out.
00:15:04 [Speaker 1]
I just drive away.
00:15:04 [Speaker 1]
They're stuck outside.
00:15:06 [Speaker 1]
When you're driving and someone lets you into a lane or lets you go first, you wave at them to say thanks.
00:15:10 [Speaker 1]
Of course, I do that.
00:15:12 [Speaker 1]
Gotta be extra nice out there considering I am a quote unquote public figure.
00:15:15 [Speaker 1]
You know, if I flip somebody off, turns out they're a K Bear listener, they're gonna immediately go like, man, I'm never listening to that station again.
00:15:22 [Speaker 1]
If it's not yours, don't open it and donate the last one.
00:15:25 [Speaker 1]
I never touch anybody else's stuff really unless I ask permission first.
00:15:29 [Speaker 1]
If it's too good to be true, it is.
00:15:32 [Speaker 1]
100%.
00:15:34 [Speaker 1]
Always arrive at least ten minutes early, whether it's a doctor's appointment, job interview, or anything at all really.
00:15:39 [Speaker 1]
Something you gotta do.
00:15:40 [Speaker 1]
It's weird when people are, like, habitually late and then they make it a part of their personality.
00:15:43 [Speaker 1]
They were like, oh, I'm always late to everything.
00:15:45 [Speaker 1]
I'm such a Capricorn.
00:15:46 [Speaker 1]
Something like that.
00:15:47 [Speaker 1]
You know?
00:15:48 [Speaker 1]
One text, two texts, no reply, move on.
00:15:52 [Speaker 1]
Yeah.
00:15:52 [Speaker 1]
I mean, here's the thing.
00:15:53 [Speaker 1]
I I I've gotten people mad at me recently for not responding.
00:15:57 [Speaker 1]
I just don't really care for texting all that much anymore.
00:16:00 [Speaker 1]
I really don't.
00:16:02 [Speaker 1]
If somebody texts me like some long paragraph, I'll be like, okay.
00:16:05 [Speaker 1]
I'll read through this and see.
00:16:06 [Speaker 1]
If I lose my interest, I'll just stop, but I I usually just call people.
00:16:11 [Speaker 1]
I mean, Victor makes fun of me for it.
00:16:12 [Speaker 1]
Maddie down the hall, she also calls people.
00:16:15 [Speaker 1]
She's one of the very few younger people that I know that prefers to call rather than text.
00:16:21 [Speaker 1]
And I had someone recently, like, asked me, like, are you ghosting me?
00:16:23 [Speaker 1]
It's like, no.
00:16:24 [Speaker 1]
No.
00:16:25 [Speaker 1]
Obviously not.
00:16:26 [Speaker 1]
I just for the most part, I'm busy.
00:16:28 [Speaker 1]
I'm busy working here, busy doing other things.
00:16:30 [Speaker 1]
I don't have the time to just sit there and text all day like a teenager.
00:16:33 [Speaker 1]
Anyway, that was that was a a break.
00:16:36 [Speaker 1]
Anyway, let's move on into some, bad flower pause on k Bear +1 01.
00:16:41 [Speaker 1]
Some eye catching billboards have been popping up around Cleveland lately with bold messages like, yes.
00:16:46 [Speaker 1]
I buy crack houses, and your house is trash?
00:16:49 [Speaker 1]
I'll pay cash.
00:16:51 [Speaker 1]
The man behind them, businessman John Williams, says he's trying to improve neighborhoods by buying up abandoned and rundown homes, fixing them, and then turning them into affordable housing.
00:17:03 [Speaker 1]
But a lot of people in the community, you know, they aren't thrilled about the wording.
00:17:08 [Speaker 1]
They're like, hey.
00:17:09 [Speaker 1]
I I don't live in a crack house.
00:17:11 [Speaker 1]
Some say the signs are offensive.
00:17:12 [Speaker 1]
Make fun of, struggling neighborhoods, especially since they're showing up mostly in low low income areas.
00:17:18 [Speaker 1]
Even the Cleveland City Council president Blaine Griffin said the language is demeaning and sends a condescending message to the people who live there.
00:17:26 [Speaker 1]
Williams, though, defends the signs by saying the prop the, provocative language is meant to grab attention, spark conversation, bring in leads on properties that have been neglected for decades.
00:17:36 [Speaker 1]
I personally am on the side of John Williams here, to be quite honest with you.
00:17:39 [Speaker 1]
He's trying his best just to fix up the neighborhood.
00:17:41 [Speaker 1]
That's all.
00:17:42 [Speaker 1]
Like, the one guy who who was it?
00:17:44 [Speaker 1]
The, yeah, Cleveland City Council president, he he's just mad because he's in charge of those crack houses.
00:17:49 [Speaker 1]
Isn't doing a good job with them, and John Williams is like, you know what?
00:17:52 [Speaker 1]
I'll take the matter into my own hands.
00:17:55 [Speaker 1]
He believes the ends justify the means, but many local leaders and neighbors feel he's doing more harm than good with how he's going on about it.
00:18:01 [Speaker 1]
Well, it's made national news.
00:18:02 [Speaker 1]
I just had this guy's full name on the air.
00:18:04 [Speaker 1]
So, clearly, he's a marketing genius, and, hopefully, he gets a lot of business out of this.
00:18:09 [Speaker 1]
Well, this is terrifying.
00:18:10 [Speaker 1]
Now I do have to admit something along with this.
00:18:13 [Speaker 1]
I saw here a new survey from resumebuilder.com has sparked major concern over how artificial intelligence is being used in the workplace.
00:18:22 [Speaker 1]
Out of over 1,300 managers surveyed, 60% of them said they've used AI tools like chat GPT to help decide who gets laid off.
00:18:33 [Speaker 1]
And nearly one in five admitted to letting the AI make the final decision entirely on its own without any human review.
00:18:41 [Speaker 1]
I know major radio companies like iHeartMedia are gonna be doing this type of thing.
00:18:47 [Speaker 1]
They're gonna be like, who's making the most money?
00:18:49 [Speaker 1]
Who's doing the absolute best?
00:18:50 [Speaker 1]
They're like Taco Bell with their menu where it's like, oh, this item on our menu is doing fantastic.
00:18:55 [Speaker 1]
Take it off of there.
00:18:56 [Speaker 1]
Get rid of it right now.
00:18:59 [Speaker 1]
It's kinda crazy how AI is even now being used to fire people.
00:19:02 [Speaker 1]
Now I had a dream not that long ago.
00:19:04 [Speaker 1]
I meant to tell Jade about it.
00:19:05 [Speaker 1]
I think I I think I brought it up on Victor's morning show at one point where Jade, for some reason, posted on his Facebook that he said he was going to randomly fire somebody from within this building, and that person was me.
00:19:20 [Speaker 1]
And I was, like, fighting with him in this dream all about it, like, you can't do this type of thing.
00:19:25 [Speaker 1]
This whole thing, I woke up.
00:19:26 [Speaker 1]
I'm like, oh, thank god it was just a dream.
00:19:30 [Speaker 1]
But I just cannot imagine, like, how are they using chat GPT or AI as in as a as a whole for this type of thing?
00:19:39 [Speaker 1]
Are they putting in like, well, this person's strengths are this.
00:19:42 [Speaker 1]
Their weaknesses are this.
00:19:44 [Speaker 1]
They're making this much money, and they're doing that with the entire staff.
00:19:47 [Speaker 1]
And then ChatGPT or no.
00:19:49 [Speaker 1]
You ask ChatGPT like, hey.
00:19:51 [Speaker 1]
Who should I fire out of these people?
00:19:53 [Speaker 1]
And then Chad GPT goes, well, maybe you should choose these particular ones and just toss them.
00:20:00 [Speaker 1]
Tell them they're better off somewhere else.
00:20:04 [Speaker 1]
A racehorse in New Jersey decided to take the scenic route this weekend literally.
00:20:08 [Speaker 1]
A thoroughbred named Hawkstone broke free from his handler at Monmouth Park Racetrack, took off galloping down Route 36, weaving through traffic like it was the Kentucky Derby, but, you know, with more Toyotas and things like that.
00:20:22 [Speaker 1]
The horse slipped through an open stable gate, ended up trotting along the westbound lanes causing quite the traffic jam and a flurry of social media videos.
00:20:30 [Speaker 1]
One driver said, I looked over, saw a cop holding traffic, and then a horse just casually running down the highway.
00:20:38 [Speaker 1]
Trainer, Cal Lynch, said Hawkstone is normally chill and called the whole thing out of character, but, yeah, probably not how they, how they drew it up on race day.
00:20:46 [Speaker 1]
Thankfully, Hawkstone was safely caught perfectly fine.
00:20:50 [Speaker 1]
No injuries.
00:20:51 [Speaker 1]
No tickets, surprisingly.
00:20:52 [Speaker 1]
Just maybe a little bit embarrassed.
00:20:55 [Speaker 1]
It's now that time for to peach their own.
00:20:57 [Speaker 1]
What classic video game do you still play?
00:21:01 [Speaker 1]
I was looking at some of the answers here on the Facebook group, k Barrett one zero one Idaho rock and metal.
00:21:07 [Speaker 1]
Any of the original four Tony Hawk's pro skater games, which just reminded me that the new Tony Hawk pro skater game is gonna come out, I think, tomorrow or my is it tomorrow?
00:21:19 [Speaker 1]
Yeah.
00:21:19 [Speaker 1]
I think it is tomorrow because usually video games come out on Thursdays or that's how it used to be.
00:21:24 [Speaker 1]
Mark put skate three, another classic there.
00:21:27 [Speaker 1]
Joe been going through Super Mario World at the moment seeing if I still remember how to get all 96 levels unlocked.
00:21:34 [Speaker 1]
I can't tell my I I don't know if I have an answer for this, really.
00:21:37 [Speaker 1]
I mean, I don't don't really visit any old video games.
00:21:39 [Speaker 1]
I kinda just stick to my usual ones of, like, NBA two k, Minecraft.
00:21:45 [Speaker 1]
That's about it, really.
00:21:47 [Speaker 1]
What's that classic video game?
00:21:48 [Speaker 1]
What classic video game do you still play?
00:21:50 [Speaker 1]
Call in right now.
00:21:51 [Speaker 1]
(208) 535-1015.
00:21:53 [Speaker 1]
For the peach, their own.
00:21:55 [Speaker 1]
Alrighty.
00:21:55 [Speaker 1]
K.
00:21:55 [Speaker 1]
Bear, what classic video game do you still play?
00:21:58 [Speaker 2]
It's an oldie, but Gunstar Heroes for the Sega Genesis.
00:22:01 [Speaker 1]
And what?
00:22:02 [Speaker 1]
Does it just give you that childhood nostalgia?
00:22:04 [Speaker 2]
Oh, man.
00:22:04 [Speaker 2]
Let me tell you.
00:22:05 [Speaker 2]
You wanna talk about eating Cheetos and listening to old music?
00:22:10 [Speaker 2]
That's the game for it.
00:22:12 [Speaker 1]
Alright.
00:22:12 [Speaker 1]
Do you still do you still have the Sega Genesis, or do you play them in an emulator?
00:22:17 [Speaker 2]
My sister actually sold my old Sega Genesis, when I left home.
00:22:22 [Speaker 2]
And so I actually ended up having to buy the emulator.
00:22:25 [Speaker 1]
Ah, I was gonna say, man, that thing probably is worth a ton of money right now.
00:22:28 [Speaker 2]
Oh, trust me.
00:22:30 [Speaker 2]
I had old school Sonic.
00:22:32 [Speaker 2]
I had this game called Kid Chameleon.
00:22:36 [Speaker 2]
All the games, man.
00:22:37 [Speaker 2]
It was great.
00:22:38 [Speaker 2]
But, yeah, Gunstar Heroes, that was that was the game.
00:22:42 [Speaker 2]
I mean, I can jump back into it probably today and beat it.
00:22:46 [Speaker 3]
