[upbeat music] I can't believe we got sent a clean copy of that song from Motionless in White featuring Corey Taylor, Playing God. Hello, it's Tuesday. Hope you're doing well. It's May 12th, 2026. I can't believe that this actually happened, and I, I'm really wondering what exactly the thought process was for somebody to do this at the St. Louis Bring Me the Horizon show. In case you were unaware, um, somebody decided to throw their phone at Oli Sykes, the lead singer of Bring Me the Horizon. Yeah, someone just threw their phone right at him, hit him in the side of the head. He posted later after the show saying that he got mildly concussed because of it, so the guy threw it like Randy Johnson throwing 100 miles per hour down the middle.

You can see the big red welt on the side of his head, and he said he had a tough time singing after that because, you know, it like, when he was trying to sing, the wound, it would like make the wound tense up or whatever. I'm not a doctor, but

yeah, it's like if you have some head trauma, the last thing you wanna do is sing and perform. I can't believe some idiot out there just decided, "You know what? I'm enjoying this concert so much, let me just chuck my phone at the lead singer, see what happens," right? I'm sure this person thought, like, "You know, maybe if I throw my phone at the guy, then he'll pick it up, take a selfie, record himself singing. It'll be my viral moment." But instead [laughs] that person became the number one enemy in St. Louis, and then I saw some idiot in the comment section of the Metal Injection article saying, "Good. Bring Me the Horizon doesn't belong in St. Louis." Like, what did that band do to you?

I bet that guy had a, had a girlfriend at one point that was obsessed with the band and, uh, they broke up, and now he can't listen to them ever again kind of thing. Anyway, if you wanna get ahold of me, you can over at 208-535-1015. Oli Sykes did say he is okay. I wonder if, like, it's going to affect the other shows that are coming up in the near future all because some idiot out there, emphasis on the word idiot. I've used that word, like, three or four times this break.

[sighs] Can't believe that idiot's just gonna ruin... Like, he's potentially gonna ruin the tour. They're potentially going to ruin the rest of the tour just because they wanted to have that viral moment. I saw a video of some guy dropping his phone intentionally in front of John Cena so John Cena could try taking a selfie with him. It's weird how people are with their phones at concerts, like, "Let me just chuck it full, full-fledged right at him. See if it lands by him." No, it pelts, pelts Oli right in the head. Poor guy. Luckily, I don't have to count every single show on the concert calendar. The website does it for me. There's a total of 128 concerts coming to the area. Wait, who added this

to the rock portion? Okay, never mind. It finally updated. I was like, "Who added this Zoo Idaho event to the rock, [laughs] the rock shows on the concert calendar at riverbendmediagroup.com?"

No, I updated it and, uh, well, I, I'm so glad that I added all these sh- all these, uh, shows that, uh, were announced today. Is it Saosin? Saosin? Is that how you properly say it? I think Jeff was trying to tell me, like, some people even say it's Sa-ocean, Say-ocean, something like that. Saosin is gonna be at The Complex later on, ah, during the winter, November 21st, and then they're gonna be in Boise at The Knitting Factory November 22nd. Yeah, they're already announcing shows for the tail end of 2026. They even announced, uh, two shows... Well, not this band, but Blue October. You know that band? They announced two shows, again, Salt Lake City, then Boise, for March of next year. It was weird adding those, uh, shows as well to the concert calendar. March 5th, 2027. 2027 does not look real to me.

Besides, uh, the Saosin shows, you got Coheed and Cambria also coming to The Complex in Salt Lake with The Home Team.

Uh, the band Switchfoot gonna be at The Knitting Factory. Not The Knitting Factory, The Complex as well. I was reading the wrong one. Oops. Um, a lot of shows for the Urban Lounge and The Complex added to our concert calendar. It's always available to you at riverbendmediagroup.com/calendar, or if you don't wanna type in that super long link, you can just use the, uh, the shortcut via the KBARA 101 app. It says concert calendar right there on the menu, takes you right to it. The Social Security Administration has released its baby name data for 2025, and it looks like parents are looking to the, uh, the stars for inspiration. Yuck.

There was 65 babies in 2025 that were named Moon. 101 babies were named, uh, Star. We have Star down the hall, but her name's actually Starla. I think these, these babies were legit just named Star.

I'm kind of concerned though because [laughs] I'm seeing here that, uh... I mean, there's, there's some ones like Eris, or is it, is that how you say it? Eris, the, uh, the, the dwarf planet.

Eris, E-R-I-S. 154, uh, babies were named that.

Some people named their baby Mars. That doesn't sound all that... That d- that, that doesn't sound like all that great of a name. Jupiter?

You named your s- you named your son after the biggest planet in the solar system? "That's my son, Jupiter." There's also Venus. 96 babies were named Venus. 26 were named Saturn.

I did like, [laughs] I did like this one. 11 babies were named Pluto. [laughs] Imagine naming my son Pluto. Pluto Peach, there he is, PP.

Mercury, 10 babies were named that. Eight babies were named Earth.

That feels so unoriginal, like, "What, what should we name our baby? Earth. Earth Jones."

Eight babies were also named Neptune, which I believe sounds better than Earth. This has gotta be my to peach their own question for the day. Somebody asked a really good one on Ask Reddit. You can bring back one discontinued food, drink, or snack forever. What are you resurrecting? Yeah, we got to talk about that a little bit later on here on Peach's Pip Party. Some of the responses, Pizza Hut's original recipe for their pizzas. When did they stop serving that?

I'm too lazy to Google search that. Let's move on to the next answer here. All the various types of, uh, baked potatoes in the salad bar at Wendy's. No kidding. Remember when, uh, Wendy's had the, uh, yellow containers?

That, that, that was peak Wendy's. Philadelphia cream cheese bars, the strawberry to be specific. Second choice, Jell-O pudding pops. Never tried either of those. Carnation instant breakfast bars, the eighties edition. Didn't try those. The Butterfinger BBs, the little cube-shaped ones. Don't hit the way those did. Again, we're talking about this question. You can bring back one discontinued food, drink, or snack forever. What are you resurrecting? I do miss the, uh, those asteroid chips, like the asteroid versions of chips. Like, they used to come in those, like, uh, circular... No, those, those, uh, cylindrical containers,

and they were like-- the, the chips were spherical like asteroids, and you would-- you'd just eat them that way. For some reason, I thought that, I thought that was so cool as a kid. Choco Tacos. I remember those. We used to go to a place called Super Mex back in, back in the day, and they would have those advertised in the window. Get a Choco Taco after your dinner. Altoid Sours. I thought I saw those somewhere.

Like, if you go to one of those, like,

those, uh, those candy shops, like there's one in Rexburg, I believe they have those there. The SoBe drinks. Oh, especially the SoBe drinks. I miss those quite a lot. This is making me feel so nostalgic and somewhat sad. [laughs] We need fun food again. We need better food again. Here's Muse, Cryogen, on KBEAR one-oh-one. Well, this was both devastating and shocking that, uh, this news popped up while I was on my lunch break a little bit earlier today. Brandon Clark, the power forward for the Memphis Grizzlies, passed away yesterday.

Only twenty-nine years old, the same age as me. Now, his passing is being investigated as a possible overdose. Clark was the twenty-first overall pick in the twenty nineteen NBA draft, selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder, and immediately traded to Memphis. He was a decent player, I thought. I, I would play as him on-- or have him-- I'd, I'd have him on my team on NBA 2K. Can't believe he's gone. Only twenty-nine years old. Rest in peace to Brandon Clark. The New York Knicks have at least five more days to rest as they await the winner of the Pistons and Cavaliers to play in the Eastern Conference Finals, and we're pretty sure that none of the Knicks will be in Philadelphia during that time after, uh, Josh Hart's comments. The Xfinity Mobile Arena was filled with Knicks fans as they swept the Sixers out of the playoffs, causing Hart to say, "I used to think Philly was a sports town. I don't know if it is anymore. Everybody was begging for Philly fans not to sell their tickets. It never felt like a, a road game." Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey had to agree with Hart. "It absolutely sucks," he said. "It just sucks." Duke women's basketball head coach Kara L- uh, Kara Lawson is one of the analysts for Amazon Prime's WNBA coverage this season, a job she took, uh, to help out her other side gig. Lawson will be coaching the USA team in the FIBA Women's World Cup in early September in Germany. Now, Lawson says, "I'm not with them for a big chunk of the year, four to five months before the competition, and I think it's really important that you're present, that they seem-- that they see me in person watching them play as we're trying to evaluate who's in their best form, or who's in the best form." As the, uh, automated ball strike system... Now moving on to baseball news. As the automated ball strike system has become popular with MLB players and fans in the stands, colleges are looking to use the tool to double-check umpires. The SEC has announced that they've gotten approval from the NCAA's, uh, Baseball Rules Committee to start using ABS during their conference tournament, which starts May nineteenth, runs through May twenty-fourth in Hoover, Alabama. In the SEC, each team will have these challenges. They will get an additional challenge in extra innings if they have used all their challenges during the game. That does it for your Shot Clock Sports Update right here on KBEAR one-oh-one. Of course, Tool right there on Peach's Pip Party, and you know what really irritates me is when we get told we can't interview a specific artist or whatever because we're not that big of a, of a radio station compared to something like ninety-nine point seven, The Blitz in, uh, Columbus, or it says The Blitz slash Columbus on this article here. Adam Jones of Tool sat down with DJ Ronnie at ninety-nine point seven, The Blitz,

and Adam said, uh, "Tool was supposed to open The Sphere." He says, "We were asked and be-- and because of, uh, Game of Thrones banned politics, we j- we couldn't, just couldn't make it work, and then they ended up u- ended up using U2, which I think we probably would've gotten bumped anyway. They have been really enthusiastic about us playing there, so we've been talking to them since it opened about doing some kind of residency there, and there's just a lot of production details and budgeting and money and timing, so it's complicated, but I think we will do it at some point." I mean, could you imagine how much those ticket prices are gonna be? We've joked about this many times before. You know, Tool is notorious for, "Hey, you want a T-shirt? It's for s- it's on sale for eighty dollars." What was that fetus skull thing that they were selling for a while that was, like, five hundred, uh, one thousand if you wanted it signed? I mean, just look what happened with Metallica when that residency got announced. Their, their whole thing starts October first, and those, uh, those, th-those queues for Ticketmaster, that queue for Ticketmaster was just outrageous. People were like four hundred thousand people deep to try to buy tickets, 'cause, you know, scalpers and all of that. Again, I can only imagine how much tickets are gonna cost for that band or this band even if they were to go to The Sphere. I'm talking about Nine Inch Nails. Here they are right now with "As Alive As You Need Me To Be" on KBEAR one-oh-one. Yeah. [clears throat]Victor's favorite artist right there, MGK teaming up with Fred Durst.

Yeah.

Get the up.

All right. Lots of, uh, lots of F-words in these new songs popping out, but at least they're making us edits.

That's also what I yell at you every single time that you are- you're asleep here in the studio.

[snores]

Get the up.

And then I go, "No. Napping."

[laughs]

Sleeping.

Well, I might need you to stay awake, and be alert, and maybe have this window open because I just pulled up this article, Victor, that, uh, thieves are targeting lifted trucks.

[laughs]

Pickup trucks to score free gas as pump prices skyrocket.

Yeah, I t- I talked about this yesterday. They're, they're drilling holes in the gas tank, which sounds dangerous to me. I had a listener call and explain, like, his dad was a mechanic, and I guess it's the fumes from the gas that you really gotta worry about. So when his dad would need to do something like that, he would fill the tank with gas first, 'cause if it was just a little bit of gas and fumes, then you could have a spark and brr. [laughs]

Imagine that. You just... You're, you're inside the-

[coughs]

... the store at Maverick. You're like, "Hey, can I get 50 on pump 10?" And right as you say that, like, boom.

[laughs]

The whole thing just explodes.

But yeah, apparently lifted trucks are the, uh, main target because they're easy to get under, you know?

It makes sense.

Yeah.

Somebody like you could easily go under. I could never steal gas from a lifted truck.

[laughs] Peaches is not gonna become a drilling gas thief. No.

It just reminded me of the, the arguments that we've had in the past about, like, do people actually use trucks for their hauling capabilities?

Mm-hmm.

Or do they just cosplay as a blue-collar worker? It's like what it says here on the Bro Bible article.

Ah. Well, as you know, I use mine, you know, for truck stuff.

Eh. Not, not that often.

I do. Often enough. Well, I took a trip to the dump just the other day.

You defended one guy that used to be here for having a lifted truck, and I've never ever, ever seen him use that truck for hauling anything.

Camper.

Nah.

Yeah.

No.

I don't know about anything else but a camper, yeah.

I, I never saw-

You gotta have a truck

... no. No, you don't.

To pull a camper? Yeah.

You don't have... You don't... But you, you overall have said you have to have a truck to help do things.

Yeah. And I think if you, you know, own your own house, having a truck's good. Gotta deal with, you know-

So you're saying every, every homeowner in America should have a truck.

That's right. That's right. 'Cause what are you, what are you doing when you gotta trim branches and crap?

You have a gardener that does it.

A g- oh, let me hire my gardener. [laughs]

Yeah. That's what I had growing up. Shout out to Jose.

Gee. [laughs]

That guy's still working. He had a stroke, and he's still going at it. [laughs]

Yeah. Some of us didn't grow up so wealthy, Peaches.

Hey, you know, sucks to suck. [laughs]

[laughs] I've thought about hiring somebody to come clean up my yard though, 'cause-

You have Becca. [laughs]

That's true. But I, I bet a crew could do it faster, so I don't know.

But, no, I just saw this article and figured I would talk to you about it. I didn't realize you already, you'd already talked about it on the morning show.

Yeah. I just said, "Don't touch my truck."

Yeah, you just-

"Don't steal my gas."

You just have, [laughs] just have the window open at all times watching.

[laughs]

Like this weird security guard over here.

I see you out there with that drill. Know what you're doing.

It's like me with my, uh, my Honda Element right after my catalytic converter was stolen from it.

[laughs]

I- we had to get that stupid net thing. I don't know if you've ever seen that.

I have.

But, uh, um, there was a thing that you would wrap this net, like a fishing net, around the converter itself. And so that way, instead of taking 30 seconds to steal, it would take them, like, 30 minutes.

Oh, okay.

'Cause they can just come right in if you don't have that net on it-

Yeah

... and just take the converter, drive away.

They're just out.

Yeah.

Huh.

I wonder how many junkyards actually have taken, like, 20 catalytic converters from one person just to, you know-

Mm, I'm sure

... take the copper.

I'm sure plenty-

Yeah

... 'cause they're worth money. You know?

That's why they, that's why they work at the dump, 'cause they're garbage.

That's right.

All righty. It's K-Bear 101, Peaches Pit Party. Let's talk about things you should not do at restaurants, huh? Came across this whole article. [upbeat music] 29 extremely rude things you should stop doing at restaurants according to servers. Be polite. That's the number one overall thing to do, okay?

I, I see here a picture that already makes me very upset. Someone said, "I work at a semi-fast food restaurant. Nothing annoyed me more than the day someone left all the food at their table and took their trays to where you put them when you're done with them, right above the trash can." So the food is still all there on the table, the empty containers, the wrappers, et cetera. You, you're supposed to throw those away, then put the tray on top of the trash can. That's what you gotta, that's what you gotta do. Coupons. A lot of schools and organizations sell coupon books for businesses in the area. Some of them are for white linen establishments where a BOGO is up to 30% off. If you get a coupon that entitles you to a free meal, ask the server for the check before the coupon or deal is deducted, and tip on that total, not after the discount. Just because your meal was free doesn't mean the service was. Okay. Okay, that was a long one. Geez.

Again, we're going through this, uh, article here,

29 extremely rude things you should stop doing at restaurants according to servers. If you want an extra side of sauce or dressing, just order with your meal. Don't make me run back and forth three times to the kitchen for an extra ranch, please. This is giving me PTSD from when I used to work at PayWay. There used to be one entitled guy that would come in, and if his order was slightly wrong, he'd be like, "You guys owe me a gift card." This guy had the audacity that where I, I gave him one gift card, and then he goes, "All right. You messed it up twice. Give me two of those gift cards." I can't imagine just walking in with that much confidence into a restaurant out of all places. Just walk in. If your, if your order's wrong, you politely go, "Hey, I'm so sorry, but I didn't want it like this."

If you're nice to them, they'll be nice back. That's about it. There's no need to go through the rest of this list. I mean, people should have some common sense. And if they don't, well-They'll end up like that one lady that I read about that, uh, slapped the subway worker or whoever it was, and, you know, they got in massive trouble, possibly jailed over a footlong sandwich that's no longer five dollars. I found someone even stupider than the person who threw the phone at Oli Sykes of Bring Me the Horizon. I started off the show by talking about that whole thing. Some idiot in St. Louis decided to chuck their phone at Oli, hitting him right in the head. He got a mild concussion because of it.

That is potentially going to ruin the tour. I mean, he might tough it out, but still, I mean, a concussion is no joke, especially with a cell phone to a head. You've got to be kidding me. But then I, I read about this even bigger moron, this tourist that hurled a rock at this, uh, Maui monk seal by the name of... Is it Lani? L-A-N-I.

This dude-- I watched this, uh, this video. It's quite insane. It's gone viral online. It's a dude in a white T-shirt. He's right there by the water. He sees the seal. He grabs the biggest rock he can find and chucks it in the air, almost hitting the seal in the head. I think it-- the seal dodges it, or maybe it did. Maybe it did hit, hit the seal. People were angry,

and one guy-- This is where the, the story gets good. One guy was so mad by this dude throwing the rock at the seal that he beat the crap out of this dude. Again, you should see the video if you haven't seen it already.

This dude punches this dude to a pulp. [chuckles] Like, it's a full-on beatdown. And

during a committee hearing after the fact, this senator commended the man for the butt whooping, calling him the Ambassador of Aloha.

Imagine that you're the idiot, you're the dummy, this tourist from Seattle, Washington, that decides, "You know what? I'm gonna chuck a rock at a seal. People are gonna laugh at what I'm doing to this poor animal," right? That's the thought process in that guy's dumb head. And then he gets... Not only does he get recorded with-- for animal abuse, but then he gets beaten up entirely shortly afterward, dropped on camera. Last time I checked, that video had, like, five million likes on Instagram alone, and that was on one of the videos. This guy can never show his face in public ever again. KBEAR one-oh-one with Wage War. There's another article making the rounds about AI starting to wipe out a lot of entry-level jobs, and I think that's the part making younger people nervous right now. Entry-level jobs used to be where you learned how to work. Now companies are looking at AI and going, "You know, maybe the computer can do all this stuff," you know? Suddenly a bunch of those beginner steppingstone positions start disappearing, which is rough because everybody always says, "Get experience." But, like, where? You know? You can't get experience if every starter job gets replaced by software named something like Tax Wizard four point oh. That's why local businesses still matter so much. A real company, real customers, actual human interaction, and that's what you'll find at hireeastidaho.com. The whole website's redesigned. It's full of local jobs from local companies. This week's Hire East Idaho Job of the Week is a sales rep position with Grand Peaks Prime Meats. It's a remote opportunity with the potential to earn between one hundred and five hundred dollars daily. You'd work directly with customers, take orders, communicate with the butchers, help grow customer relationships, make calls, introduce products, all the stuff that still requires an actual personality and people skills. They're looking for motivated people who can work independently and help grow the business long-term. Experience in sales, restaurants, butcher shops, or food service helps, and bilingual English and Spanish speakers are, are preferred. So if you're personable, driven, looking for something with serious earning potential, go check it out, hireeastidaho.com. Local people, local opportunity. Your phone is always listening. It's true. It's not just, like, this, this myth. No, it's one hundred percent true. Well, people are also sharing this page. Uh, b-- I think it's because we've, we've talked about it. Uh, I'm talking about the Life Is Idaho page. This stupid AI-generated crap that they keep posting. Um, it's getting shared by people who are listeners of this station, so I don't know if they heard us talk about it or [chuckles] they, they missed that, tho-tho-those noon hours of madness and mayhem. We talked about it on multiple days. This Life in Idaho post is-- Life Is Idaho post is popping up about how to properly pronounce each Idaho city, and I don't think there's really a, a need... I don't, I don't think it's really necessary for a pronunciation guide for Idaho Falls or Sandpoint or Hailey,

Salmon even. You know, the biggest one is that it's Boise, not Boise, because then you get hit with that dumb thing of, "You're not from around here, are you?" This whole thing, this whole caption they have on [chuckles] this post too is just so beyond dumb. "Buckle up, buttercup, because you've officially crossed into Idaho, where the roads stretch forever, the mountains look fake, and every small town feels like it's hiding either a fishing spot or a guy named Dale with six snowmobiles. First things first, it's Boise, not Boise." It goes on and on and on, and there are people in the comments going, "No vacancy. Fix your own state."

[scoffs] Oh, somebody's correcting the post by saying the L is silent in Salmon, pronounced Salmon.

I don't think I've ever heard anybody go Salmon. Oh, the pronunciation. This AI-generated pronunciation guide does have it say Salmon. Yeah, I, I dare someone to go to Salmon, Idaho, and go, [chuckles] "Man, I love it here in Salmon." See how many people give you that pissed-off look. We cannot escape Florida, can we? Today's What the Headline involves a seventy-three-year-old guy facing up to ten years in prison. After allegedly pretending to be blind so he could collect nearly a quarter million dollars in VA benefits. And listen, this man apparently got away with it for years while still driving, reading, working as a school security guard, even a firearm specialist.

That might be the boldest part of this entire story. Imagine being the guy at the gun range, or being at the gun range

[laughs] and the instructor's like, "All right, Jerry, what do you see down range?" "Absolutely nothing." [laughs] I love how investigators finally figured it out because the, uh, apparently the totally blind guy kept showing up to work, driving himself there, and functioning completely normally. That's usually a, a pretty solid clue. This dude really treated blindness like calling in sick to work. [laughs] "My eyes are acting up." This happened in Florida where honestly this barely cracks the top 10 weirdest things to happen before lunch, you know? Florida being Florida, providing me with content for What The Headline every single weekday at the top of the 6:00 PM hour right here on K-Bear 101. If you're looking for something fun to do with the family this summer that actually supports a really good cause, this is one worth putting on the calendar. The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho Family Fun Run and Carnival is happening June 20th at Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls. It's basically set up for everybody, whether you wanna run the 5K, let the kids do the fun runs, or just show up for games, food, music, everything else that's going on over there. And the cool part is where the money goes. Ronald McDonald House Charities helps families with hospitalized children stay close to their kids during really difficult situations. That includes housing, meals, support services, all the stuff families suddenly need when life flips upside down. They're still ... They're, they're, they're also still looking for businesses that want to sponsor or be a part of the event. A lot of companies say they want to support the community. This is one of those events where people actually notice and appreciate it. Get your team together, bring the kids out, walk the 5K if running sounds absolutely terrible. Make a day out of it. Registration and the sponsorship information can be found through the links through the apps, the K-Bear app, Alt app, Cannonball 101 app. There you go. It's right there. RMHC, uh, Family Fun Run right there on the menu. Uh, let's do some Electric Callboy, Hypercharged, here on Peaches Pit Party. I can tell Heavy Consequence put out that stupid list, or their, their stupid list of the 100 best vocalists of all time. They, they made that whole list horrible so that way they can just keep making these posts about, uh, each individual singer on that list,

um, in different posts on Facebook to inspire engagement in the comments, 'cause it keeps popping up. You know, Facebook used to be the website where you would just see what your friends were doing. You would see, like, a plate of food. You would see where they went on vacation maybe. Facebook was so much better back in the day, obviously. Now it's full of advertisements. I was just having a discussion with Aubrey about how, uh, well, she, she's wanting to, uh, to, to delete her, her Facebook account, 'cause she's like, "I scroll it and all I get are a bunch of ads and posts from people I don't know nor do I care about." So I'm like, "But what about our Facebook relationship status? That's gonna disappear if you delete your account." [laughs] But yeah, from time to time, these posts pop up, like Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson ranks number 73 among the 100 best vocalists of all time. You've gotta be kidding me. 73.

He's one of the best metal frontmen of all time, one of the best voices, incredibly smart, and what's the word I'm looking for? Talented. Yeah, there we go. Talented. Very talent- one of the most talented frontmen of all time, and you put him at number 73? And this list had, like, Kendrick Lamar at number 20. Like, sure, Kendrick Lamar is a great rapper. But if we're talking about vocals,

it takes a lot more talent to try to conquer an Iron Maiden song than it is a Kendrick Lamar song. That's in my opinion, you know? To, but, but to each their own. I mean, who knows? Maybe ... There's probably a lot of people out there that think Kendrick Lamar is a much better lyricist and performer and vocalist over Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, and those people are dummies.
