[upbeat music] Kicking off the show with some Darko, "Perfected Ultra Instinct." I've been listening, uh, to that album quite a lot they just released. Or is it more so an EP because it's only 5 songs, and it goes by insanely fast. It's all over the place. The last song is a "Landslide" cover featuring, uh, Marcus Bridge from the band Northlane, which I have played and also talked, I also have talked about here on the air. But anyways, Peaches Pit Party. It's pre-Friday, AKA Thursday, August 20th, 2026. There goes the music bed once more. We, we desperately need to fix that. Um, I don't know if you saw this or not, but I called my dad immediately and told him, "Hey, you're the one with the money. Let's, uh, book a flight to St. Louis. Let's... We, we gotta go there quick." September 8th, ACDC with the Foo Fighters opening up for them. Yeah, the Foo Fighters opening up for them, not the Pretty Reckless. They weren't able to perform that night, so yeah, the Foos just stepped in, and Dave posted some long post about how this is a dream of his and all of that, and 2 of the greatest bands of all time. I don't care what you think about either one.

They're, they're 2 of the greatest bands of all time, 2 of the most legendary bands of all time. ACDC with the Foo Fighters, September 8th, the Dome at America's Center.

I told my dad, I'm like, "We better get tickets now. We, we better go." Go to Missouri for the 1st time, St. Louis out of all places?

Who knows? [chuckles] I'm just kidding. I'm not re- more, more than likely, 90... Is it... There's a 99% chance I won't be going, but a boy can dream, right? If you wanna get ahold of me, you can, 208-535-1015. Again, it's Peaches Pit Party right here on KBARA 101. And also, if you wanna check out any shows coming to this area, make sure to go to our concert calendar, riverbendmediagroup.com/calendar, or you can use the shortcut via the KBARA 101 app. [whoosh sound] Well, it's, uh, National Radio Day during the month of August. That is National Peach Month, as we talked about yesterday. It's also National Hair Loss Awareness Month. It's just my month, isn't it? [upbeat music] National Radio Day in August,

the, the month that I was born in. 9 more days. I'm counting down the days till my 20s are over.

The only reason why I found out it's National Radio Day is because, well, you got all these radio DJs posting so many different pictures of themselves back when they 1st started to now, to

all the stations they've been at in between. [chuckles] Most radio DJs don't stick around to one station for all that long. They usually get laid off, fired, whatever, for whatever reason. They usually get, uh, they usually move around the country quite a lot. You'll see a lot of radio DJs say, "I've lived all over the United States.

Done my, paid my dues," as they say, "and now I'm on the beach."

Or they just move on to a completely different career and they just reminisce on the good old days. You know, I'm very lucky to be able to do this every single day, hosting 2 different radio shows. That's right. For those who are completely unaware, for those who just passively listen

and pay no attention to anything that I say here at all,

I, I also am the program director of Z103.

And I know immediately some people are gonna go, "Ew, why?

What?

Yuck."

People like different genres of music, all right? There's a reason why there's so many different genres, so many different artists out there. I'm the host of 2 different radio shows. I'm the same person on both. My name slightly changes. It goes from this stupid nickname that is Peaches to my actual name, Brendan Peach, over there. Yeah, I've b- I was born with the stage name, too.

Again, radio is just meant to be my thing. National Radio Day during the month of August, National Peach Month.

August 29th, my birthday, the 27th, National Peach Day.

Look at that, man. Anyway, enough of, uh, talking about this. Enough, enough. Here's Hollywood Undead, "Feels Like Home," on KBARA 101. [whoosh sound] So as a kid, I, uh, played baseball for the most part. It wasn't until I reached the age of 13 that I was able to play contact sports. My, uh, family doctor at the time suggested it to my parents that, "Hey, since he's so tall and his joints need to grow properly, don't put him into any contact sports until he's, uh, built," I guess.

So yeah, I didn't play, start playing basketball till I was 13, but I was playing baseball from the time that I was, like, 5 to, or to 13.

And I've always found the Little League World Series fascinating because you're watching these little, little kids play baseball on television. It's kinda weird. Your kid isn't in the game. You're just watching a bunch of 11-year-olds play baseball,

and now

you can bet money on it. There's an offshore, uh, sports book taking bets on Little League World Series games. So you've got adults sitting there gambling on the outcome of a baseball game being played by kids. That just feels weird to me.

I'm not talking about your fantasy league or betting on the Yankees. Those are professional athletes. These kids are going to school, like elementary school. And the Little League organization actually put out a statement about it saying nobody should be profiting off of these successes and failures of children playing a game they love.

I just can't imagine watching some kids strike out in the Little League World Series and thinking, "Well, there goes my 200 dollars." And then, you know, that, that, that k- that guy finds, like, the kid's parents and starts screaming at them online, which we've seen happen with professional athletes.

You know, they, they drop the ball, whatever.

[rock music] You get these fans that start screaming at them online via DMs. Could you imagine if that happened with these kids? It'd be horrible. Maybe we don't need to gamble on everything. Starset, My Demons on K-Bear 101. I believe they're supposed to come out with new music at some point in the near future, which I'm very excited about. It's Peach's Pit Party on K-Bear 101, uh, what was it, Sunday? Was it Sunday or was it

2 nights ago? I can't keep track of the days anymore. Maybe it's the fact I'm, you know, getting older

that I'm just like, "You know what? I just look forward to one day and one day only, and that's payday." Well, 2 days. Payday and the days I get to go home, go back to my, uh, friends and family in Southern California and hang out with them for a while, which, of course, I am doing coming up here

in, uh, oh, oh, a w- week from tomorrow.

And I, uh, rented my car not that long ago. I go through the app Turo because it's the be- they, they give you the best deals on that app. You don't have to go through any rental car company. Uh, this is not a free plug, by the way. I'm just trying to give you a suggestion, because I hate, hate going through

any rental car company at all. It's su- such a tedious process. They give you the smallest car possible. Back when, uh, my car got rear-ended on, uh, Sunnyside back in January of 2024, I think. Yeah.

Back... No, was it 2025? I think it was 2024. But anyway, yeah, I had to go through a specific rental car company. I'm not gonna name them,

but they gave me a Chevy Malibu, and that thing is like the size of my shoe. And it was, you know, wintertime. It was January, so I had to practically do the splits to get into the car already, but then I had to worry about slipping on the snow and all of that.

And so luckily with Turo, they have the option to choose, uh, a van or an SUV at a much cheaper price compared to these rental car companies. And so for the upcoming trip, I decided to rent a 2023 Toyota Sienna, a minivan. It's a hybrid. Great gas mileage, 36 MPG.

This sounds like a free commercial for Toyota. I apologize. But no, I just wanted a sick minivan, 'cause last time, the last time I was in California in January of this year,

the minivan was a piece of crap. I gave that lady, like, a two-star review because it w- I, I, I should have seen the pictures better, or I should have taken a, a deeper dive onto the pictures she had, because the car looked...

The car looked okay, but then when we got it, it was just torn up on the inside. One of the headlights was out. We had to get that fixed. She was horrible at communicating. This guy is on top of it, the one that I rented it from. This is a 2023 minivan, so it's, it's newer than my current car, and it better be nice, dang it. Otherwise, two-star review. Otherwise, I'll be freaking out like this song right here from Dexter and the Moon Rocks. [rock music] All right, so I literally talked about this not that long ago, but I'll mention it again. Uh, how messed up is this? Offshore sportsbooks are letting people, uh, bet on the Little League World Series. Lots of gamblers are getting in on the action. State-regulated sportsbooks here in the US strictly ban gambling on the Little League World Series. Offshore betting sites like, uh, BetOnline are cashing in big time. According to BetOnline, demand for Little League action is so high that they take more bets on these 12-year-olds than they do on actual professional sports league, professional leagues like the WNBA, Major League Soccer, pro golf, with some, uh, Little League games drawing more action than actual Major League Baseball matchups.

Seems kinda gross, doesn't it? My dad watches the Little League World Series, and I go, "Why, why do you watch these kids play baseball?

Why?" Anyway, pretty much every Major League Baseball team runs a fantasy football league, and the Toronto Blue Jays came up with an interesting way to determine their draft order. The 12 Blue Jays players participating in this year's league each drew the name of a member of the team's support staff. Then those people had to throw a pitch that was timed by a radar gun. The player whose staff member threw the hardest pitch got first pick, with the rest of the order going from second fastest to, to slowest. And in college football news, this year Ohio State will be holding its senior day before any of the seniors have taken a snap this season. Traditionally, senior day is held in college sports during the final home game of a season. I remember mine when I was at Ocean View. You know, we had our senior night for varsity basketball. But Ohio State head coach Ryan Day wants the week before their, uh, traditional showdown against rival Michigan to be as much like a normal game week as possible, so he decided to remove the extended senior day ceremony and other distractions before that critical matchup. This year, the senior day ceremony will be held September 5th before Ohio State's first game of the season against Ball State. That's your Shot Clock Sports update right here on K-Bear 101. [rock music] How many interviews is too many? I saw this, uh, story about a woman who walked away from a job after finding out the hiring process was going to involve

5 interviews.

She had already done 2,

then HR told her she had 3 more to go, including another interview with the exact same panel. And she said, "Nope, I'm out."

And I kinda get it. There's a point where you're not interviewing for the job anymore. You're just

interviewing to see how many times you're willing to interview, you know? It's like, how many times do you need to interview the right candidate for the position? And she made an interesting point. Some companies can end up getting a ton of information, ideas, and expertise from candidates during these long hiring processes without actually paying them for any of it. So,

how many interviews is reasonable? One, 2, maybe 3 if it's a really important position. I think it's just 2. That's the cutoff, 2.

You have the first initial one, then you have the second one with the real bosses, and then boom, that's it, you're hired, if they want you.

You know, if you're looking for a job that doesn't require you to go through 5 rounds just to get a paycheck, check out hireeastidaho.com. [whoosh] Peaches Pit Party on KBAR 101. I just found out there's a name for something I do all the time. Everybody knows FOMO, fear of missing out. I have that quite a lot whenever there's a major holiday and I do absolutely nothing. Like, if I'm just isolated on Christmas, I feel, I feel FOMO, you know? Or if, like, my friends are hanging out and I'm not with them and I see them post about it, massive FOMO right there. Apparently, there's another one called FOBO, fear of a better option. This one makes a lot of sense. It's basically when you've got a, when you've got a, a perfectly good option sitting right in front of you, but you don't want to commit to it because you're worried that something better might come along. And I do that constantly. I'll be looking at something and think, "Yeah, I like this." And then my brain just goes, "Okay, but what if there, what if there's something better?" You start looking at every option. Next thing you know, you've spent an hour trying to decide what restaurant to go to. It can happen with jobs, apartments, vacations, relationships for some people, pretty much anything. You've got so many choices now that making a choice feels impossible because you're worried about the 2nd you commit, you're gonna find the better one, right? That's FOBO. So great, I already had FOMO, now I got FOBO, FOMO. What, what, what other acronyms are there for this kind of thing? FOBO, FOMO. It's fun to say. FOBO, FOMO. All right, I'm done. [whoosh] Pop Evil on KBAR 101. What, what's, what's funny is that my friend Dan and I just watched the music video for that song, Trenches, and it's so early 2000s that it's considered majorly cringe now. Like, there's a synchronized jump that the band does. And if I was ever in a band, I don't think I would ever wanna be in a music video because it's e- extremely awkward to film them, I would think. I've n- I've never been a part of those projects, but I've seen the behind the scenes videos on YouTube. [rock music] And you're not really performing the song, you're just sort of... Like, the singer's lip syncing. The, the, the other players, they're just, you know... I don't think the instruments are even plugged in for the most part. You know, it's, there's multiple takes involved. You gotta be on top of your A game. Otherwise, that music video will, will remain around forever, you know? Everyone's gonna see you for years to come doing that synchronized jump with your, uh, with your bandmates. What is the cringiest music video of all time? Like, I'm not talking about, like,

they're so bad they're good. I'm talking about, like, you sit there and you go, "Oh, why did they think this was a good idea?" That kind of thing.

Is that a question somebody has asked online already? What is the worst music video of all time?

[rock music] Billy Squier's Rock Me Tonight is widely cited by critics and rock historians as the most famously disastrous. In it, Squier prances around a pastel bedroom in a tank top, a misstep so jarring it famously derailed his arena rock career.

I think the music video for David Bowie and Mick Jagger's cover of Dancing in the Streets,

they can only pull that off. All right? Imagine if it was like m- me and Victor in that music video. You know how bad that would turn out?

Oh, yeah, Journey's Separate Ways features the band intensely playing imaginary instruments against a wall with 0 self-awareness. Have you seen it, by the... You gotta watch the Journey Separate Ways music video if you haven't seen it. It's pretty funny. Oh, yeah, the... If you wanna go, uh, new or new-ish, Katy Perry, that Swish Swish song. It's a horrible music video. Horrible song, too. Horrible song.

Some of the worst music videos of all time. Yeah, there's the Katy Perry one again. What else is there? Come on, show me some, show me some other options here. Oh, forget it. Never mind. Yeah, the, the thread just ran out or it stopped loading. This computer sucks. Here's Shinedown, Young Again, on KBAR. [whoosh] [upbeat music] KBAR 101, it's Peaches Pit Party. Here's a great question somebody asked. What's the biggest band that was once everywhere, only to vanish into complete silence?

I know... I actually, I don't know if I can say... Well, I'll, I'll say the acronym for this, but if I were to say the real words, obviously that's a huge no-no. LMFAO. You remember that group. The best uncle-nephew music duo.

They were around for, what, how many years? 2010 to, like, 2014. Party Rock Anthem, Sexy and I Know It. I think there was, like, one other track that I'm completely forgetting about right now, but there was, like, 3 songs that blew up huge. They were all over. Party Rock Anthem was especially big. Every, every person I knew in high school was trying to shuffle thanks to that music video. I, I did not even attempt it 'cause I knew it would look bad.

What's the biggest band that was once everywhere, only to vanish into complete silence? Gym Class Heroes. I see Talk Talk. They went from '80s new wave to creating a new genre of music, then just completely disappeared.

Okay, who else is there?

Elastica.

Oh, the band Fun. Yeah, I forgot about that.

We Are Young, Some Nights. Another one of those pop groups that blew up huge when I was, when I was in high school. Yeah, and then they just disappeared. Supertramp, another person said. They were moderately successful during the 1970s, then had a huge, huge hit in 1979 with Breakfast in America, and they just seemingly disappeared. The band Live also. What a dumb name for a band, too. I think that was also on that thread for what is the stupidest band name of all time. There was Hoobastank, Hootie & the Blowfish, and then Live. [whoosh] Idaho's only rock station, KBAR 101. I was, uh, well, just scrolling Reddit. Saw this, uh, get posted in Unpopular Opinion, one of my favorite subreddits as of late. "Location sharing apps like Live360 do more harm than good."

This is from SquirrelDoc. "In theory, it sounds great in case of emergency, like a car accident or whatever. You can pinpoint where your loved one is. They get kidnapped, you know, boom, their location's right there. But in reality, it feels like, uh, every time I hear about it..." This is from the poster, not me.

"It feels like every time I hear about it, it's because someone is abusing it and basically stalking their family members. From spouses tracking each other and making accusations because they took an extra stop on the way home, to helicopter parents exerting more control, to random nosy family members just being obnoxious. I never hear any good come from it." The poster continues, "My husband's family is all on Live360, like grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins, all their partners, et cetera. They've been trying to get us on there for years. I started out not wanting to, not wanting to because I don't want my battery drained by sharing location constantly. But as time has gone, uh, uh, time has gone on, I've seen all of them abuse it by being nosy. Sometimes they'll say, 'Oh, so-and-so is at X location,'

and then they'll drive over there like a lunatic. It's so weird and creepy. Or they'll text each other like, 'Hey, I see you're at blank location. What are you doing there?'

And then interrogate them on the, on, on why they need to be there." Which, of course, you know, people deserve their privacy, 100%. I've realized that [chuckles] as I've gotten older, uh, which is something weird to say. But, you know, it's like we get, we share our location on literally everything. Snapchat map, I have my location off of there because I don't want certain people to follow me. You know, I have listeners that have, uh, have me as a friend on there. The last thing I want is one of them to show up to my apartment going, "Love you, love the show." [chuckles] Which I, I know they won't, but at the same time, you never know with

some people. Anyway, here's Theory of a Dead Man, Lay Low Winnebago on K-Bear. [whoosh] All right, I talked about this with Victor this morning, how I typed out this whole thing about, uh, people... Well, have you noticed how every time somebody mentions a GLP-one, there's somebody online going, "But do you know the side effects?"

I love how they call every GLP-one Ozempic. That's like somebody calling your PS5 an, an, a Nintendo, right? I was prescribed a compounded GLP-one by my doctor, and for me, it's been a huge help. It's helped me completely change the way I eat, get back into exercising, lose the weight. You know, I've, I've revamped my diet, and it's been helping me stay on that diet, eating, uh, vegetables, fruits, no junk food for the most part, et cetera. Yeah, there are side effects. There are side effects to basically everything.

We literally had stories this week about people talking about the potential issues with drinking Diet Coke all the time because of artificial sweeteners. And I used to see those people all the time that would come into PayWay, In-N-Out, and they would act like they were on a diet and then order, like, the chicken lettuce wraps or their burger protein style. And then instead of getting a regular Coke, they'll get the Diet Coke.

And I'm not saying take this medication, it'll fix everything. I'm saying maybe don't act like GLP-ones are the only thing on earth that comes with a warning label. Because if you're eating McDonald's every other day, smoking cigarettes, or drinking yourself into oblivion,

I don't see you waking up, walking up to somebody going, "You know what the long-term side effects of that are?"

[laughs] Maybe people should do that. Go to the smoking section of the concert. "You know what the, uh, side effects are for these, for those, uh, for those cancer sticks you got in your mouth there?"

Every medication has risks. Every choice has consequences. That's why you talk to your doctor, a real person who has a degree in helping people. You know, you figure out what's right for you. You make your own decision. You don't need somebody on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, who doesn't know you, telling you what you should or should not be doing. [whoosh] You know it's a slower news day when I start talking about crap like this. A guy in the UK secretly trained for 2 months because his girlfriend was getting to ru- ready to run her 1st half-marathon.

She had already been training for it, apparently wasn't exactly thrilled about the idea of running 13.1 miles, so why even do it?

She even called it her dreaded 1st half-marathon. Why are you running a half-marathon? Run the full thing. It's like reading half a book and then putting it down, you know? That was a Daniel Tosh bit for a long time.

Did I just steal a Daniel Tosh joke? I think I did.

So while she was doing her training, her boyfriend was quietly doing his own. She had no idea.

"Hey, honey, where are you disappearing off to at 5:30 every morning and coming back at 7:00 AM all sweaty?" "I have no idea what's going on." Well, if she had no idea, then race day comes and she's out there running,

and he shows up and starts running right alongside her. He had secretly trained for the entire thing just so he could be there with her. How sappy and cute. You know,

he wasn't some marathon guy doing this every weekend. He had never run a half-marathon before either. Pretty dang good boyfriend move. Some guys buy flowers. Some guys just send you a text saying, "Good luck.

I'll suffer 13.1 miles with you." Anyway, [chuckles] enough of me, enough of me making fun of this story. [laughs] Here's Imminence, Crestfallen on K-Bear 101. [whoosh] Yeah, I don't think I've ever heard of a job where the 1st thing you have to do is pay the company for the privilege of working there. I mean, radio salary is bad, but I can't imagine, like, you know, going to iHeartMedia, forking over 20 dollars and say, "Hey, give me a show, dang it." But there's a business in Saskatchewan [instrumental music] facing charges after investigators say 2 foreign workers were allegedly made to pay a fee or expense just to have their jobs. The business owner and the company are each fa- facing a whole bunch of charges. This isn't even the only case. Another Saskatchewan employer recently, uh, pleaded guilty to the same kind of thing.[upbeat music] They were fined $7,000, ordered to pay the worker back 12,000. This is such a backwards way of doing employment. There goes the music bed again. [sighs] You're supposed to show up, do the work, and get paid. And if you're looking for a full-time job where you can work outdoors, learn a trade, have a three-day weekend, check out the newly redesigned hireeastidaho.com. This week's job of the week is a pest control service professional with False Pest Services. It's a full-time, uh, it's full-time, you get paid training, a company vehicle, four-day work week. Previous pest control experience is not required. So if you're wanting to get into the trade, there you go. Pay is 16 to 22, uh, 22 dollars an hour. You can apply at hireeastidaho.com, where you'll find hundreds of other jobs from employers across East Idaho. Hire East Idaho, connecting people with opportunity. [whoosh sound] I think I know what my definition of actually having money is. It's not owning a yacht. It's not having a giant house. I wanna get to the point where I can look at my friend's birthday coming up and go, "You know what would be really funny? I'm gonna spend 200 dollars on Cameo." If you don't know what Cameo is, you pay, like, a certain amount of money to y-your favorite celebrity, internet personality, whoever it might be, and they'll send you a video in return to that... Or they'll send it to that person, and it'll be like a personalized message. And some of those prices are ridiculous. You know that dumb little kid, the Rizzler,

makes the, the face and everything?

Whoever's handling his account is trying to charge, like, 200 dollars per video on Cameo. [upbeat music] Uh, me and Matty teamed up to try to get Victor, uh, uh, Roger Clark, AKA Arthur Morgan, Cameo, but since we told him about the, uh, the radio show and all of that, I think his agent was like, "Well, that's a, uh, business plug, and you're gonna have to pay more money for that." So they rejected the, uh, the request. We were gonna do it for his birthday last year, and I was so excited.

Come to find out that, you know, his agent or whoever rejected the video. It sucks.

We gotta get Roger Clark on the show. [upbeat music] Wh-why, why pay... Like, how, how are people able to pay this kind of money for these things? Pay-paying, like, 200 dollars for, like, a retired baseball player

to be like, "Happy birthday, so-and-so. Hope you're doing well." [whoosh sound] So recently, I interviewed Eric, the guitarist, Eric Bickerstaff, the guitarist for the band Loathe. Uh, that's up on our YouTube channel, KBear101RMG. I also just recently interviewed the, uh, the vocalist for the band Siamese, Mirza. Love the band Siamese. It was quite crazy to hear his story about the, uh, about the refugee camp that he lived in for a while, his relationship with his father and all of that, that inspired the band's latest album.

And tomorrow, Victor is going to interview Addison of the band, uh, Showing Teeth.

So that'll hopefully be up on our YouTube channel at some point as well. KBear101RMG. We're always uploading every single one of our interviews there. You can see the video version of them, you know, the Zoom call. You can see, you can see us react to certain songs. You can see our, our podcasts as well, again, on YouTube, KBear101RMG. [whoosh sound] All right. Well, today, [chuckles] today's Flor- uh, today's What The Headline... I'm at a loss for words here. Today's What The Headline is about as Florida as it gets. Uh, police in Florida,

they were called to an apartment after a 40-year-old guy was allegedly running around his balcony with no clothes on, exposing himself to people below.

Deputies showed up, told him to put some pants on. He said, "No."

Things got worse there. Uh, police say he started throwing household appliances at them, including a TV, ended up hitting [chuckling] several vehicles. Eventually, he went back inside, started threatening the officers, barricaded himself in the apartment. SWAT had to come get him.

So just to recap, he ge- he gets arrested for running around naked, then decides, "You know what would make the situation better? Throwing a television at the police," 'cause somehow that would stop them. You know, yesterday we talked about that, uh, Florida boy that, uh, tried hiding below the mattress. It's never a, a boring day for a Florida police officer.

You wanna have a, uh, busy schedule in law enforcement,

move to Florida,

and wherever you go over there in the, in the Sunshine State, wherever you go, it's guaranteed to be absolutely absurd. And who knows? You might be a part of a, a What The Headline story in the near future. [whoosh sound] I don't know how I stumbled across this. Uh, somebody posted in Ask Anything, "Anybody else smell woman?"

This is from SignificantTip7027. [chuckles] He goes, "Okay, weird title, I know. I'm sorry. So I grew up with 14-ish people in my house, at least 7 to 8 women. I've also noticed the smell. Not bad, not good, just there. And one time I mentioned this to a female friend of mine. She called me crazy. But there's a scent that is indistinguishably a, a woman's bathroom/a bathroom used by a woman,

especially, uh, shortly after they use it. Is there a science there, or am I crazy?"

Is this one of those... Is this, is this the villain from Silence of the Lambs? Like, who, who posts this? The top comment is li- literally just a gif of The Rock taking a big whiff.

"Some people have really good sense of smell. I know a guy who can smell if a woman..." Okay, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I don't like the way the, the direction that one was going. Geez.

"I've done work at college dorms. All I needed to do was walk under the floor to know if it was a girl or boys' dorm."

What kind of talent is that? [sniffs] Just take a big inhale. [sniffs] Oh, yes, that's definitely a dude's floor if I've ever seen one. [whoosh sound] Yesterday, we talked about how the band, uh, Demon Hunter, the Christian metal band, they're suing Netflix over K-pop Demon Hunters. Uh, I didn't realize this has been a thing for quite some time. Back in the early 2000s, I think it was 2004 when this got published, the band Survivor, you know Eye of the Tiger, they went after, uh, CBS over the reality show Survival. So Survival, Survivor. The band had trademarked the name for their music, and they argued that CBS using Survivor on the show and related merchandise was infringing on their name. The band lost. The court basically said, "Yeah, they're both called Survivor, but nobody watching a reality show about people getting voted off an island is going to think, 'Wait, is this the band that made the, the Rocky III song?'" There wa- there wasn't enough confusion between the two. You know, it's not like that Dan Sullivan versus Dan Sullivan political race that was going on in Alaska, which I think is still going on. Like, they called it off initially, but then they said, "No, no, wait, wait. Actually, go back. You can race against Dan Sullivan." Dan Sullivan versus Dan Sullivan.

I mean, like, the band Survivor, nowhere near as famous as the show, [chuckles] as the show Survivor. Same with Demon Hunter. Like, I, I... Can I name three of their songs? No, I can't really. And I haven't seen K-pop Demon Hunters, but I have to hear that stupid, stupid Golden song every single time I'm doing my afternoon show on Z103. It-- I, I hate that song. "We're going up, up." Oh, geez, it's awful. Why did I even bother to sing it for? Now it's gonna get stuck in my head. I'm sorry. [upbeat music] Thanks for listening to Peaches Pit Party, the podcast.
